The Palmer Street intricate is one of Waipa District Council’s pensioner housing complexes located in Te Awamutu. Before Christmas Waipa District Council confirmed it wants to sell the 36 unit complex to Habitat for Humanity and use the sale proceeds to build fresh pensioner housing units in the district. Roads may need to be closed for a number of reasons, including events and flooding. To do this we need to accessible Victoria Street from Clare Street to Hamilton Road for two three weeks.
Both closures will be in store once Victoria Street is begin and will final 2 3 weeks. Water restrictions are put in place to ensure there is sufficient water for everyone to use.
