At Te Awamutu College we want all students to gain success as learners and to leave the College feeling satisfied that the time they have spent at the College has been productive and valuable because of the success they have gained in all areas of their lives. In the Junior school all students experience a broad and balanced curriculum and recognise the value of learning and begin to plan a learning pathway for themselves. All students will be strongly supported to achieve their potential at every level. This will include those with identified literacy and numeracy needs, specific learning and behavioural needs, gifted and talented students as well as other identified groups.
Te Awamutu College values sport and encourages students to participate in sporting and physical activities. Our sports leaders will be given responsibilities which will extend them and enhance their personal development. The College values cultural and arts activities and encourages students to participate in cultural and arts activities. Our cultural and arts groups and individuals are encouraged and supported to gain regional and national recognition

Barbara’s interest in basketball began at Te Awamutu College in the mid 1960’s with her coach and teacher, Mr Dee. As with the junior school, senior students also have differing learning needs and abilities.
The College offers a expansive variety of sporting and recreational activities designed to involve and resist our students. Bill leads the Medicinal Chemistry Group at the Auckland Cancer Society Research center. He became a member of the Fresh Zealand Mathematical Society in 1980 and the Fresh Zealand Statistical Association in 1986. Students are placed with home stay families who can protection well for them and present opportunities to participate in sporting, arts or cultural activities and or to travel to other parts of Fresh Zealand.
After year I plan to begin a university degree in teaching, as I hope to become a lesser school teacher of Drama and English. NCAA will bear an opportunity for all Year 11, Year 12 and Year 13 students to achieve a slick of win in the national qualification. We are proud of Te Awamutu College and the students who choose to make this their school. As the only secondary school in the town, Te Awamutu College aims to yield a range of learning experiences to confront the needs of all students.
Frank was Deputy Director for Population Methodology and Statistical Infrastructure at the Office for National Statistics. Playing at school level, she played representative basketball for Waikato Schools and the National School’s team.
